HRI: UNArts -- SGS Alternate Unemployment Rate at 21% - Documentaries

For almost two years, since the global market crash in 2008, 21 percent  real unemployment/underemployment (toolbelt recession closer to 25-30 percent) has devastated American cities. [1]  Appeals for house to house, business to business unmet needs analysis have been presented as a pathway to provide emergency economic aid, but ignored. [2]  Today, we are presenting a special appeal for emergency aid for Senior Citizens, Unemployed, Underemployed, that includes Mortgage, Utilities Assistance and Property Tax Deferment....

Foreclosure filings climbed in three-quarters of U.S. metropolitan areas (154 of 206 U.S. metro areas, pop >200,000)) in the first half as high unemployment left many homeowners unable to pay their mortgages, according to RealtyTrac Inc. -- Foreclosure Filings Rise in 75% of U.S. Cities on Unemployment - Bloomberg [3]

CMA Artist Stephen Michael Apatow, [4] founder of Humanitarian Resource Institute founder and the United Nations Arts Initiative is asking for:
  • States to assist municipalities with unmet needs analysis in this economic emergency.
  • Unmet needs documentaries that target the true scope of unmet needs on the household, small business and nonprofit level in all 50 states. [5]
  • Foodbanks, homeless shelters and frontline service programs to use HRI:UNArts Citizen Journalism guidelines for video/photo documentaries. [6]
HRI:UNArts is requesting access to all documentaries, unmet needs overviews and news reports that will be used during progressive media builds that will continue for the duration of this economic emergency and recovery.  The focus of education and awareness will mirror the work accomplished in 133 cities during the Run Across America Community Service project in 1993.
