Dear Colleagues:

As regulatory efforts failed to address the cause of widespread damage caused by unregulated financial market activities, crime victims of predatory lending (home loans, student loans, credit cards) are now focused on criminal action against those responsible for the crimes, with refunds, compensatory damages proportional to losses experienced.  These are actions that must be prioritized by Municipal Attorneys and  State Attorney Generals.

The size and scope of the damage experienced including efforts to resolve issues, should be prioritized in communications by  families, nonprofit organizations, small businesses and corporations in crisis:
On the United Nations level, member countries must pursue compensatory damages associated with the shadow banking system, and OTC derivatives that were built the criminal predatory loans, mortgage and appraisal fraud, that devastated the United States and global economy.  We are hoping for active involvement and support of the Human Rights Institute, International Bar Association.

The victims of these crimes must be protected and made whole....

The immediate urgency relates to the need for infrastructure stabilization, as a preparedness measure for challenges associated with surveillance, containment and control of infectious disease challenges, that include influenza during the next 12-24 month period.  The call has been made for seroprevalence studies in every UN member country, to evaluate the level of exposure and natural immune defenses that provide protection against high consequence pathogens of concern.

The challenges on the table represent an economic state of emergency and should be treated as such.
